Guess What!

It's raining! Shocking, isn't it? At this rate, the toadstools in the front lawn are going to be as big as trash can lids.

Yesterday was cleaning day here at the Ranch. The bathroom and kitchen are clean. The greenhouse is torn down and put away until next Spring. The hallway and front two rooms are next, and I'll be happy. But those three areas are really hateful, so it may take some time.

In mid-clean, Nutso Muleman came over and started off on a tangent about how he's gotten together with the landlords nephew, and they're conspiring to fix up this house. It's only a coincidence that the local codes enforcement officer was by to see him two weeks ago, and has informed him to vacate the camper he's been living in for going into the second year. He's all gung ho, hot to trot to paint the exterior of this house, and start repointing the brick. Also to redo the front porch. All things that are sorely needed, as this place has been neglected for some time. I just find it odd that NOW he's all buddy pals with the nephew, and they're discussing my house without having me in the discussion. Of course, I voiced that particular comment, as well as informing him that I've lived here four years with being fucked with, now all of a sudden HE'S up in my business.

That being said, Mulie got all huffy and started talking loud and trying to be all big. I said, "Bye" and he left in a huff. I don't need his weirdness transferred onto my world. Obbie and I think that since now his little secret is out (Living in a motor home, on someone elses property) and he's in danger of being 'evicted', he's doing everything he can to save his ass. I wouldn't be a bit surprised that he's bending the ear of the nephew, telling him I don't/can't do the maintenance required on this place, and that he'd be a better tenent, and will work off his rent. Hah. I know these people, and money talks, baby. Stay tuned. I'm renewing my lease next week, so I'd say that trumps him any old time.
Butthead.

After the Mulie drama, and the rest of the cleaning, we took in a show at the local cut rate theatre. This place is great, one of the good old movie houses, and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, it's 2.50 to get in. 2 admissions, 1 medium popcorn, 2 large sodas, 1 Raisinets and 1 pack of caramels gave Obbie change back from his 15 bucks. Gotta love that. We saw the DaVinci Code. LOVED IT. I read the book as it was becoming the Next Big Thing, and really liked it. The movie was true to the book, and was just great. Sure there were some draggy parts, but overall is was really good. I won't bother to recommend it to my Mom since she's on her elitist high horse these days. She can wait for Netflix....

Ooooh! Can't wait for repercussions against North Korea!! And apparently the braintrust in New Jersey will shut down their casinos on Wednesday because they can't pass a budget. For once Pennsylvania passed their budget without too terribly much drama. It was in the middle of the night again, since apparently those asshats work best in the wee hours. I can't wait to see what kind of bullshit pork and benefits they've given themselves. Back to Jersey for a moment. I'm assuming casinos are big moneymakers for the state. If thats the case, then WHY shut them down, even for a day? I'll need to read more about the situation before I go running my mouth. Being uninformed when theres a wealth of information at your fingertips is inexcusable.

On that note, I'm out of here. Things to see, people to do. Or something like that.
