And Now, The Clay

The package of Art Clay came on Friday. 20 grams worth. 20 grams of clay is about a square inch:

At 26.00 per 20 grams, this is precious stuff. Last night I cut the block in half, and rolled out some things. Careful to sweep up the crumbs and put them back in the little ziploc baggie provided especially for the occasion. (Allegedly one can take the crumbs, add a drop of water and get slip, which is glue to ceramic artists. When slip is fired, it turns to silver, and bonds small pieces together)

This is going to be really cool. Too bad it's such an expensive process. I may be torching some things tonight, so stay tuned.

Oh, and don't forget to vote. Especially if you're in Pennsylvania, it's our duty to get that scary bastard Rick Santorum OUT. Brrr....he gives me the creeps. (not to mention being an ass kissing lackey, but thats another blog entirely)
